Linda I just found out about Daniel. I will never forget when I lost Silvestre, it will be 8 years this Saturday. You took me to San Juan and walked with me around the church. You told me that I could go and walk around the church and pray. You were so kind to me. Everytime I pass tru there I remember. Linda even if we hardly see each other, I want you to always know that you are loved by me. But most of all by Jesus, your husband is in heaven with our heavenly father and also with sivestre. First of all my condolences to the Uresti family . I met Uresti as I called him on my first job detail In Texas and he took me under his wing . He spoke highly of family, good food and just enjoying his family . He’s the first person who ever explained the term Tex-mex to me and through him I experienced the feel of Texas . He was one of the first coworkers with seniority who was willing to teach me everything I needed without hesitation . Through his influence I’ve tried to help anyone in career who’s in need for any help or guidance . It’s been years but your memory and training lives on in me . You inspired me . Hopefully I could return that through my career . You are truly appreciated . Sorry for your loss . 

To the Uresti Family,
I offer my deepest and sincerest  sympathies to the Uresti Family.  I loved Danny as if he were my own brother.  I will never forget the wonderful memories and the of honor of working beside him.  
There are no words that can fully express the heaviness I am feeling. In my memory, his charisma and the conversations with him, lives on. But I rejoice in knowing that heaven is a better place because of Danny and he is resting in a  better place.

A cup of coffee, a smile, a helping hand, a trainer, and a friend.  Danny was never one to shy away from the duties of our profession.  A trusted adviser and role model for how things got done.  It's incomprehensible that this could happen to such a man but I also know that our day and hour knoweth no man.  The Lord giveth and He taketh away.  

Peace, love, care, and compassion to his dear sweet family that is left to honor his life and legacy.  May his good nature, love, and respect endure in your hearts forever.  

Rest easy Danny, we'll take it from here.  Until we meet again, God speed.

My condolences to the Uresti family!  We lost a good man, friend, and coworker.  I first met Daniel Uresti in 2003 at the INS DEO academy.  A decade later I met him again with my other classmates from Texas when I transferred to the Harlingen office.  Daniel made me feel welcomed and trained me in the way of how things were done in the valley. I will miss you my friend!

Our thoughts and prayers are with the Uresti family.   Rest in peace Daniel, you will be sincerely missed.

Today is the day the Lord has taken one of his mighty warriors.  But you know what they say, God only takes the best. Everything happens for a reason.. I valued Danny’s friendship very much and I would remind him and Danny would say I know John and by the way that is what he called me. We cried together at the academy, we studied together, got confused together, we prayed together to pass and graduate. He was a humble, hard working man and a great provider for his family. If u asked anyone he always gave u a helping hand. Never talked bad about anyone. He was a amazing great friend. One of the strongest persons I know who remained positive the whole way and never lost faith during his battle. We talked at least once a week and tried to make him laugh to forget what he was going thru. But today he is not suffering anymore but in a better place.

My older brother. We would always joke about how we grew up. You gave me the nickname “chunkies” that stuck since we were little. We grew up in a little old house and we’d fight quite a bit. Lol. We grew up and grew out of it. We were never a very sentimental family growing up, but I hope you know that I love you. Say hi to mom for me. I’ll see you again one day.
