David was born on February 4, 1954, in Brownsville, Texas. He graduated from Port Isabel High School before proudly serving his country in the United States Navy aboard the USS Wm. V. Pratt.
Following his military service, David built a long career in construction and later became the proud owner of the Big D Ostrich Ranch. He loved hunting and fishing, pursuits that brought him joy throughout his life.
David was preceded in death by his daughters, Nena Poston and Jessica Poston; his brother, James Floyd Poston; and his parents, Verl and Maybelle Poston. He is survived by his son, James David Poston, and his sisters, Pamela Drewery and Phyllis Maxwell.
David will be remembered for his strong work ethic, his determination in all he pursued, and the deep love he held for his family and pets.
Services to honor David’s life will be held at a later date, with details to be shared by the family.
