

Dean was born March 24,1926 in Medicine Lake, Montana. He was the middle of 5 children born to Clarence and Mary Ann (Sayers) Constance. At the age of 3 he and his family moved to Independence, Missouri, where he graduated from William Chrisman HS in 1944. In June 1944 he was shipped to Germany to serve our country until September 1946.
In 1949 he married the love of his life, Barbara Davis. They had 3 children, Richard, Deborah and Robin. He retired from the Union Pacific/ Missouri Pacific Railroad in September 1987.He and his family made their home in Kearney, Missouri until his retirement, then they built a home on Truman Lake in Warsaw,Missouri. In October 2025, he moved with his daughter and son in law to La Feria, Texas. He and Barbara had been Winter Texans since 1996 in La Feria at the Vip-LaFeria Rv Park.
Dean loved all sports, especially participating in golf until the age of 95.
He was a big Kansas City Chiefs fan, especially his favorite Travis Kelce.
He was predeceased by his parents, 2 brothers, Lloyd and Edward and 1 sister, Ruth.
His wife,Barbara 2009 and son, Richard 2020.
He is survived by a brother Albert Constance of Warsaw, his daughter Deborah (Jitter Red) Harris of La Feria, Texas and son, Robin Constance of Warsaw. Granddaughters, Jodi (John) Rever of Omaha,Nebraska and Kristal Blessing of Kansas City, Mo.
5 great grandchildren and 5 great great grandchildren. His special friend, Jan Crandall of Grand Rapids, Minnesota. Many nieces and nephews and many many friends.
The family will have a celebration of life at a later date in Missouri.
