Born on September 1, 1949, in Raymondville, Texas, Edward was the son of Isabel Juarez Castillo and Eduardo Castillo. He graduated from Lyford High School and went on to earn a degree in Biology from Pan American University.
Edward shared a beautiful life with his beloved wife, Sulema Martinez Castillo, celebrating 53 years of marriage. He dedicated many years to public service with the City of Houston before devoting his career to education, where he shared his passion for learning as a high school teacher of English, Physics, and Biology.
