Edward E Krusinsky

Ed was born in Harlingen, Texas, on September 19, 1948, to Alvin and Delores Krusinsky. He was a proud graduate of Harlingen High School, Class of 1967, where he participated in Future Farmers of America (FFA). In 1968, Ed joined the United States Navy, beginning a life marked by hard work, service, and dedication.

In 1972, Ed married Jennifer Lay, and together they had two children. He became a member of the Plumbers and Pipe Fitters Union where he began his career with Davis Plumbing as an apprentice before going on to work for Brown & Root. Over the years, his work with Brown & Root took him to projects at the Port of Brownsville, Deer Park, and Baytown. Ed completed his working career with Orkin Pest Control, where his strong work ethic and commitment to customers earned him recognition in the President’s Club several times.

Ed enjoyed traveling and especially cherished trips to Colorado and Tennessee to visit his children and their families. He also had a lifelong enjoyment of horses and trail riding and rode with Tip-O-Tex for many years. He will be remembered for his dedication to his work, his devotion to family, and the memories he created with those he loved.

Ed was preceded in death by his parents, Alvin and Delores Krusinsky, and his wife, Judy Krusinsky, whom he married in 2000.

He is survived by his daughter, Dawn Pickett (Allen); his son, Steven Krusinsky; his grandsons, Christopher, Brady, Ethan, and Trystan; his brother, Robert; and his sisters, Gayle and Teresa. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews and other loving family members and friends.

A Celebration of Life is being planned for September. Details regarding services and opportunities to honor Ed’s life will be shared by the family.
