Enedelia Meza, age 84, of Weslaco, Texas passed away on Wednesday, July 12, 2023. She was born in Linares Nuevo Leon, Mexico at the age of 8 and migrated to the US . She was a student at St. Joan of Arc Catholic school. In the 70 's, she joined the United Farm Workers and marched alongside Cesar Chavez.
Enedelia was a loving and caring mother and grandmother and a very generous friend. She was a woman of strong faith and instilled the same love for God into her family. She enjoyed gardening, playing bingo and spending time with her family.
Enedelia is survived by her daughter Nellie Vento; and her son-in-law Orlando Vento; her brother Juan Antonio Meza; her granddaughters; Lauren Vento, Olivia Vento, Eileen Vento and her cousin Maria De La Luz Flores.
Enedelia was preceded in death by her father Jose Amador Meza and her mother Petra Munoz Meza; her sister Carmela Cardenas; brothers Guadalupe Meza Sr, Jesus Meza Sr, Abel Meza Sr., Jose Homero Meza Sr.
A visitation for Enedelia will be held Saturday, July 15, 2023 from 1:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at Heavenly Grace Funeral Home & Memorial Park, 26873 N. White Ranch Road, La Feria, Texas 78559. A chapel service will be held at 3:30 PM and a Rosary service at 6:00 p.m.
