Erik was born on May 25, 1979 in Frankfort, Indiana. He was a hardworking family man who would do anything for his family. He was a diehard Dallas Cowboys fan who would watch every one of their games no matter what. He enjoyed spending time with his family especially his grandson whom adored him. Erik worked many jobs, but rod buster was his main job. He also had many other talents such as tending to his plants, painting, handyman, yard work, and his most favorite working along side his daughter in fast food. Family is everything to Erik being around him and having his energy flow within you . He was a perfect combination of joy, life, love, spirt, kindness, and empathy. The love of his family was the kind of love you obsess over creating memories and giving his family the best he could , but also appreciating the small intimate moments he had with each of everyone of us . (Echandole ganas Carnal or carnala ) . But, Most of all the way he grazed himself in such a beautiful way that made him the unstoppable, resilient, and a hardworking man.
Erik is survived by his wife of 27 years, Nomely Zavala-Castillo, his daughters, Clarisa Milagros Castillo-Jimenez (Johnathan Jimenez), Cielo Estrella Castillo, his pride and joy grandson Jesus Godofredo Jimenez. mother, Maria Micaela Castillo, sisters, Alicia Casarez Castillo (Otho Nuggent), Erika Vanessa Castillo, brothers, Alex Castillo(Monika Arambul ), Antonio Jose Castillo, 17 nieces and nephews and 1 great nephew.
Erik was preceded in death by; Grandfather Jose Albino Castillo, Grandmother Alejandrina Casarez Castillo, and father in law Godofredo Zavala, Zaharia E. Zavala (aunt) , Alfonso Castillo Sr (Uncle) , Antonio Castillo (Uncle) , Noe Castillo (Uncle),Joe Ignacio Gatica (Cousin).
A visitation for Erik will be held Friday, September 27, 2024 from 1:00 PM to 12:00 AM with a prayer service at 6PM and a rosary at 7PM at Heavenly Grace Funeral Home & Memorial Park, 26873 N. White Ranch Road, La Feria, Texas 78559.
