

Esmeralda Mejorado, beloved mother, grandmother, and friend, passed away peacefully on January 31, 2025, at the age of 79. Esmeralda’s life was one filled with love, laughter, and devotion to those she cherished most—her family.
A woman who knew exactly what she wanted, Esmeralda lived with a strength of character and heart that was unmatched. She was the epitome of warmth and care, always putting her family at the center of her world. Her greatest joy was spending time with her grandchildren, and she took pride in creating lasting memories with them, always ready with a smile, a hug, or a story to share.
Esmeralda had simple pleasures in life—her morning ritual wasn’t complete without a steaming cup of Folgers coffee, and a snack of Lay’s original chips brought her the kind of comfort only a favorite treat could provide. These little moments, combined with her deep love for her family, were what made her life rich and meaningful.
She is survived by by her children Alejandro Mejorado; Patricia Caballero; Albert Acosta; Mario Acosta; and Luis Acosta; her siblings Eva Menchaca and Tomas Gonzalez; her grandchildren Toby Caballero, Jacob Caballero, Hannah Caballero, Sarah Caballero, Alex Acosta, Ethan Acosta, Albert Acosta (Ebet), Jennifer Ledesma, Mark Acosta, Samantha Acosta, Marisa Mejorado, Angelina Acosta, Julissa Rene Acosta; her great-grandchildren Elijah Caballero, Noah James Scott, Emma Lee Rendon, Jackson Mejia, Emilia Mejia, Marissa Mejorado, Xavier Josiah Lopez, Chase Alexander Acosta, Azai Angel Acosta and Averie Jane Acosta, all of whom carry forward the lessons of love, strength, and determination that she imparted throughout her life.
Esmeralda was preceded in death by her parents Petra and Nestor Gonzalez and her brother Adan Garcia.
Esmeralda will be deeply missed, but her memory will live on in the hearts of everyone who had the privilege to know her. May she rest in peace, knowing her legacy of love and devotion will continue through the generations she left behind.
