Esperanza A Gutierrez

went to be with her Lord and Savior. She was 96 years of age. She is survived by her eight children:

Minerva G Coronado, San Juanita de los Santos (Robert +), Bertha Alicia Gutierrez, Irma Segovia

(Eduardo), Martha Gutierrez, Juan Carlos Gutierrez, Arturo Gutierrez, Jr. (Cristina), and Ricardo Gutierrez

(Bianca). She had 11 grandchildren and six great grandchildren, two sisters, Bertha Ramirez and

Consuelo Gutierrez.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Arturo Gutierrez (married for 70 years), her parents, Ramon

Alanis and Felipa G Alanis, four brothers, Hector Alanis, Homero Alanis (died at birth), Homero Alanis

(also died as a baby), Ramon Alanis, one sister, Flora Salinas, one grandchild, Jaclyn Lizette Segovia.

Her life was that of dedication…. to her husband and her children. As a housewife, she was always there

for us. In her time of need, we were there for her. She enjoyed the presence of her children,

grandchildren and great grandchildren immensely. She was a great cook. Our father once commented

that he would never be able to find someone like her. She also enjoyed gardening; being out in the yard.

How can we express how much our beloved mother meant to us? Mothers are special. They gave us

birth and nursed us until we could be weaned. Fathers are special as well, but somehow there is usually

more of a connection with a mother. We were blessed with her presence for a long time and we are so

thankful to our good Lord. Nevertheless, it does not get easy. She will be missed terribly.

We know she is in a much better place without worries, discomfort or pain. Someone said, “Our loss,

heaven’s gain.” So true. We will always love you mom.

 Visitation and viewing on Sunday, 8/17/2025 from 2:00 pm to 10:00 pm

 Rosary on 8/17/2025 at 7:00 pm

 Church service at Immaculate Heart of Mary Church in Harlingen, Tx on Monday, 8/18/2025

 Laid to rest at Restlawn Memorial Gardens on 8/18/2025, following the church service
