Eugene Elton Green

Eugene Elton Green, 83, of San Benito, Texas, and formerly of Battle Creek, Michigan, took his last breath and was reunited with his wife on August 30, 2026. He was born in Battle Creek, Michigan, in 1942 to Charles and Ina Green.

Eugene, known fondly as Gene, graduated from Harper Creek schools in 1961 and worked for Eaton’s Manufacturing in Marshall, Michigan, for 43 years until his retirement.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 41 years, Vicki; his father, Charles Green; his mother, Ina Mackinder; his sister, Annette Dunston; and his brothers, Thomas Green, Jerry Green, and Jake Green.

Gene is survived by his brother, Charles “Chuck” Green and his wife, Cindy; his children, Eugene “Gene” Green II and his wife, Emily, Rebecca “Becki” Willoughby and her husband, Chris, Michael Green, Patricia “Trish” Green, Earl Batterson and his wife, Penny, and Tracey Juarez and her husband, Tony; as well as numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren.

A celebration of life will be held on Friday, September 4, 2026, at 3:00 p.m. at Iglesia Palabra de Fe a las Naciones, located at 746 Sonora Avenue in Raymondville, Texas.

In lieu of flowers, the family welcomes donations made in Gene’s memory to the American Cancer Society or the American Heart Association. Flowers and condolences may also be sent to the family or brought to the celebration of life.
