Gregory Harold Bucklew

With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Gregory Harold Bucklew of Harlingen, Texas, who passed away on Sunday, March 16, 2025 at the age of 78. He was born September 10, 1946, in Akron, Ohio, oldest of 4 sons of the late Harold and Elizabeth (Robb) Bucklew.

He was preceded in death by his parents and youngest brother, Jeffrey Bucklew of Conway, Arkansas.

Gregory Bucklew served in the United States Navy during Vietnam. He was a former engineer with various engineering companies in the Houston, Texas area, finishing at Honeywell.

Gregory loved to help everyone he met with his generous spirit. Gregory shared his love and commitment with God and our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Gregory enjoyed creating Origami and sharing them with friends. He was also a master cross stitcher, creating Masterpieces which are on display at his home. Gregory always helped his neighbors and friends with any electric, computer, cellphone, TV, or other technology issues.

Gregory attended, and was a member, at the Cowboy Church of the Valley in Santa Rosa, Texas with pastor Christopher O’Loughlin.

Gregory is survived by his wife of 34 years, Marnie Bucklew; four children, Michelle, Lloyd, Sarah, and Emily; two surviving brothers David and Richard Bucklew.

A Celebration of Life will be held at a future date in April.
