It is with love and fondness that we say goodbye to Guadalupe "Carmen" Rios, a truly one-of-a-kind soul who brought warmth, laughter, and a whole lot of character to everyone she met. Carmen passed away on January 21, 2025, but her legacy of love, honesty, and individuality will live on in the hearts of all who knew her.
Born with a passionate spirit, Carmen was an unapologetic fan of life, always speaking her mind and living life to the fullest. Whether it was her love for frogs, her deep devotion to country music (especially George Strait), or her endless enthusiasm for WWE and the Dallas Cowboys, Carmen’s interests were as unique and vibrant as she was. She could often be found reading, playing games, or sharing her thoughts on social media, connecting with others and brightening their days.
Carmen was more than just a fan of many things—she was a loving daughter, sister, and friend. Her outgoing nature and unwavering honesty made her someone you could always count on for a good laugh or a heartfelt conversation. She had a way of making people feel special, loved, and appreciated, and her larger-than-life personality could fill any room.
Carmen is survived by her parents Manuel and Frances Rios, Susanna Rios (Rogelio Morales Jr.), Amanda Marie Segura (Francisco G. Segura), Manuel Rios Jr. (Ashley Elizondo), Marcos David Rios (Erica Martinez), her best friend Irene Ledesma, and her nieces and nephews Bryttanie, Jasmine, Frank, Elysha, Kaila, Chloe, Gerardo, Dylan, Melina, Shawn, Aiden, Sindel, Gavin, Eithan, Liam, and Maya.
A visitation for Carmen will occur Saturday, January 25, 2025 from 2PM to 10PM at Heavenly Grace Funeral Home, 26873 N. White Ranch Road, La Feria, TX 78559. Her visitation will be held in celebration of her vibrant and colorful life. In honor of Carmen’s spirit, we ask that you please refrain from wearing black. Instead, wear lively colors that represent the brightness she brought to the world.
While Carmen will be deeply missed, we take comfort knowing that her spirit will continue to inspire us to live authentically, love deeply, and embrace all that life has to offer—just as she did.
Rest easy, Carmen. Your memory will forever be a part of us. You were truly one of a kind, and we are all better for having known you.
