Gustavo or as he was known to everyone in the neighborhood “Grandpa”, was a caring and loving husband, father, grandfather, and friend to all. Gustavo leaves a trail of happiness and a lifetime of memories to everyone he met. Gustavo enjoyed conversing about his younger years and cherished the time he spent with his grandchildren. His hobbies included building many projects, lending a helping hand to anyone in need, and giving advice to anyone who would stop by and sit with him in his shed. In his last days, he continued to assure everyone’s comfort and needs were taken care of especially his wife.
Gustavo is preceded in death by both his parents and survived by his brothers, Juan and Martin Garcia, his sisters Rosa Ontiveros, Virginia Vargas, Estella Alaniz, and Norma Monsebais. Gustavo is also survived by his wife Elvia Garcia and his daughters Irma Garcia, Maggie Cruz, and Sandy Garcia, and his son Jesus Garcia. Gustavo is survived by his twenty-seven grandchildren and twenty-two great-grandchildren.
