Hector Martinez

Hector Martinez, age 79, of Santa Rosa, Texas, entered eternal rest on June 25, 2026. Born in Mexico, Hector was a devoted husband, loving father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and faithful member of Templo El Buen Pastor for more than 37 years.

Hector was a man of many talents and trades. He enjoyed working with his hands and could often be found repairing lawn mowers, weed eaters, and other equipment. His strong work ethic, resourcefulness, and willingness to help others left a lasting impression on everyone who knew him.

In his spare time, Hector enjoyed watching baseball and was a loyal fan of the Los Angeles Dodgers. Above all, he treasured spending time with his family and serving his church community. His kindness, dedication, and steadfast faith will be remembered by all whose lives he touched.

Hector is survived by his children, Mirtala De La Fuente, Oved Martinez Sr., Belinda Martinez, Josefat Martinez, Noemi Martinez-Rodriguez, Elizabeth Barrera; and Isaias Salinas, as well as numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, extended family members, and friends.

He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Francisca Martinez.

The family extends their heartfelt gratitude to Dr. Juan A. Maldonado and staff, and to Angel Wings Hospice Services, especially Marilyn, Selena, Joe, Nora, and Maria, for their compassionate care and support.

A visitation will be held on Tuesday, June 30, 2026, from 9:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. at Templo El Buen Pastor, 13438 TX-107, Santa Rosa, Texas 78593.
