Hector Salinas

Hector was an avid fisherman and hunter with a particular interest in bird hunting. If there was a Dallas Cowboys game on, you would find him in front of the TV, but above all, he loved to spend time surrounded by his loving family and his grandchildren.

Hector is survived by his wife, Guadalupe Salinas of La Feria, TX; his daughters Cynthia Saldivar (Oscar) of Santa Rosa, TX; and Yvonne Villanueva (Ruben) of Del Rio, TX; his siblings Elma Garza of Harlingen, TX, Brunilda Vega (Joe) of Seguin, TX, Diana Saldivar of Houston, TX, Sandra Exina (Joe) of La Feria, TX and Jorge Garza (Susie) of Edinburg, TX; his grandchildren Michael Salinas (Dolores) of La Feria, TX, Samuel Saldivar (Tais) of Santa Rosa, TX, Andrew Saldivar of La Feria,TX, Karina Saldivar of Santa Rosa, TX, and Jennifer Ozuna (Eddie) of Del Rio, TX, and his great-grandchildren Anthony Goulet, Cristina Goulet, Sophia Saldivar, Noah Saldivar, Jase Ozuna, Eryn Ozuna and Ella Mae Mesa.

Hector was preceded in death by his son Xavier Salinas; his mother Juanita Salinas and his step-father Eben Garza; and his brother Ray Garza.

A visitation for Hector will be held Wednesday, January 3, 2024 from 1:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. with a Rosary at 7:00 p.m. at Heavenly Grace Funeral Home & Memorial Park, 26873 N. White Ranch Road, La Feria, Texas 78559. A funeral mass will occur Thursday, January 4, 2024 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church, 502 S Canal Street, La Feria, Texas 78559. All services will conclude at the church.
