Ismael was a loving father and husband who took pride in providing for his family. He was a plumber by trade and his determination and passion for learning enabled him to make his business a success as well as the ability to be the provider he desired to be. His big personality and humor are what drew in his customers and what his family cherished the most. It’s no wonder he was known as Smiley who drove a blue and white work van that was just as goofy as he was. Aside from his love for family, work and laughter, Smiley enjoyed watching football, BBQing for games on Sundays, perfecting his yard, and carpentry. One of his greatest achievements was adding two rooms to his home to accommodate his daughter and grandchildren whom he adored. Smiley had a lot of love…love for his family, work, and others. In honor of this special man, we ask that today you cherish and express your love to those close to you.
Smiley is survived by his loving wife, Hermelinda “Shorty”, their children Kristina and Rene (Hilarie) Luna along with his grandchildren Noah, Emma, Adam, Olivia, and Emery. He is also survived by his father Trinidad, sister Florestela, brothers, Eliseo, Ramiro, Jaime, and Robert.
A visitation for Ismael will be held Tuesday, September 24, 2024 from 2:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. with a service at 6:00 p.m. at Heavenly Grace Funeral Home, 26873 N. White Ranch Road, La Feria, TX 78559.
