

Jacob Dewitt “JD” Hausenfluck, Jr., 81, went to be with our Lord and Savior on Saturday, April 9, 2016 at home surrounded by his loving family. He was born on November 28. 1934 to Jacob and Viola Ramsey Hausenfluck on a farm near Hidalgo. JD was the owner of J.D. Electric Company in Harlingen. He is preceded in death by his parents and all of his siblings: Bud Hausenfluck, Annie Baker, Dorothy Stanford, Wanda Stewart, and Frank Hausenfluck. He is survived by his wife of fifty-nine years, Barbara Yvonne Hausenfluck of Harlingen; son, Terry Hausenfluck & Dolleen-Bryan; Daughters, Beverly Gilday & Lane of La Feria, and Glyna Johnson & Martin of Harlingen; grandchildren, Lance Hausenfluck & Megan of College Station, Heath Hausenfluck & Carey of Singleton, Jason Johnson & Rachel of Huntsville, Amanda Johnson of Huntsville, Terra Bissett & Wesley of Virginia Beach; and great grandchildren, Sadie Leigh Hausenfluck of College Station and Kimber Mae Hausenfluck of Singleton. JD had a passion for service and giving to others and was involved in and with numerous organizations throughout his life. He loved children and activities that promoted education, leadership, personal growth, patriotism, citizenship and Faith. Visitation hours will be held Wednesday, April 13, 2016 from 1:00 pm to 9:00 pm with the family present from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm in Heavenly Grace Chapel. A Celebration of Life service will be held Thursday, April 14, 2016 at 10:30 am in Heavenly Grace Chapel with Pastor Mark Coppins, First Christian Church of Harlingen officiating. Viewing will be available prior to the service. Burial will follow in Heavenly Grace Memorial Park with Military honors conducted by American Legion Post 205 and V.F.W. Post 2410. Pallbearers will be Lance Hausenfluck, Heath Hausenfluck, Jason Johnson, Cheyenne Ruebush, Perry Newby, Jay Newby, Clifford Peters, and Sessia Wyche.
Honorary pallbearers will be Wesley Bissett- lieutenant Junior Grade, United States Navy, the Harlingen First Christian Elders, and the Gideon members. Special thanks to Dr. Timothy Bothwell, Gentiva Hospice, and Alicia Gonzales for their care and support.
