

Jaime L. Martinez, a devoted husband, father, loving father-in-law, and skilled craftsman, passed away peacefully at the age of 76 on January 24, 2025 . He was a hardworking and dedicated provider, always putting his family first and ensuring they were cared for in every way.
Jaime's talent as a jack of all trades was evident in everything he touched. He built many homes throughout his life, including some for his own family, a true testament to his craftsmanship and determination. His passion for building and creating extended beyond just his work – it was in the heart of every project he undertook.
Music was another of Jaime’s great loves. Whether it was playing an instrument or simply enjoying a song, he found joy in the rhythm of life. When he wasn’t working with his hands or enjoying music, he could often be found by the grill, perfecting his BBQ, especially his famous chicken, which became a staple at family gatherings.
Jaime’s love for his family was immeasurable. He was a loving dad who guided and supported his children through life’s challenges with patience and wisdom. As a father-in-law, he welcomed his children’s partners with open arms, offering kindness, humor, and unwavering support.
His legacy will live on through the homes he built, the music that played through his life, and the many hearts he touched. Jaime will be dearly missed by his family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing him.
Jaime is survived by his daughters Olivia Jacqueline Betancourt, Isabel Martinez, and Esmeralda Gonzalez, his grandchildren Kimberly Marie Betancourt, Joshua Betancourt, Nathan Joel Betancourt, Danielle Nicole, Seth Isaiah, Roberto Jaime Esparza, Alejandro Gonzalez, Erik Gonzalez, Damian Gonzalez, his great-granddaughter Lyla Ximena Esparza, and his siblings Guadalupe Martinez, and Irma Esparza. He is preceded by his beloved wife Ofelia Martinez, his parents Victor and Olivia Martinez, and his siblings Dalia Martinez, Antonio Martinez, Velia Gonzalez, and Ester Martinez.
