I have known Buck for more than 55 years and he has always been a close friend. I worked with both he and his Dad for several years, and always enjoyed the many experiences we shared together. God Bless him and rest in peace, till we meet again.

I had the privilege of getting to know Mr. Ashcraft over the past few years.  He loved sharing fishing stories and even offered to take me with him when he gets well.  I'll take a rain check on fishing with you Buck, I hear the lakes in heaven are beautiful!  He was a good man.  You'll be missed Mr. Ashcraft.  It was an honor to know you.

 I was teenage friends with Susie and Bucky was that adorable little brother that we could never shake. I remember his parents from the 40's-50's at Kreidler-Ashcraft.  I somehow knew he would carry on the family business.    I was recently in Harlingen attending my brother's service and found out his health was failing.  My thoughts and prayers with all the family. Rest in Peace, Bucky.  You served well!!!!

There are many, many fond memories floating in my head of the fun times we had over many years. My deepest sympathy goes out to the family and friends of Buck's.

I just met him this year , but I felt like I've known him forever. He was a great guy with an awesome personality and attitude . I'll always hold him in my heart. My deepest condolences to the Ashcraft family.He will truly be missed.

My deepest condolences to the Ashcraft family. Buck was a friend from childhood. I will always treasure his personal concerns for others. He was a great friend and professional. I am most thankful for our friendship through many years and especially our telephone conversation.  We could get on the phone and visit for hours reliving the past and sharing jokes and just having fun. Buck called me a few days prior to his passing.  I knew he was there for breathing treatment and offered to come by but he told me he was being treated like a king and would be home in a few days. I now wonder if he meant with the Lord and didn't want to share. A friend for life and eternity. Rest in pease.

Bucky, May you rest in peace.You were a great person and friend to me and my Family.I remember fondly jumping on the Trampoline you bought for your kids. You treated me like one of your own. You were a Godsend to many people in Harlingen and you will be missed.

Buck was a friend of my dad's, Franklin Biddy, and I fondly remember him being around, always smiling.  So very sorry for his loss and so thankful for all of the contributions he made in our city throughout his life.

Buck and I have known each other since we were both kids, but since he was a few years older than me, we really did not spend a lot of time together as youngsters and then I moved away from Harlingen after school and didn't get to see him much, but over the past few years we became very close friends, in fact over the past year, I would have to say he was my best friend.  Almost one year ago Buck asked me if I would like to go to a TMI reunion that his class was having in Houston. As it turned out, I flew to Harlingen and drove him to Houston and back to attend the event and I was ready to do it again this year, but sadly he was in the hospital and died the day before the event. I told him last year that if he happened to die before me that he could consider my trip down to drive him to Houston and back as my funeral visit in case I couldn't make it to the service. It seemed a joke at the time, but sadly it turned out to be the truth. That trip was a blast for both of us and he thanked me over and over for taking him, but I actually got more out of it than he did because I found a true friend that I didn't know I had and I will forever have the wonderful memory of spending that time with him and helping to get him to the TMI reunion. All his classmates were so happy to see him and he really enjoyed himself. Since that time Buck and I talked on the phone almost every day and he was especially helpful and a comfort to me and my family after our grandson passed away in February. I am really going to miss him, he was quite a wonderful guy. I am so sorry that I was unable to attend the service for him, he was a wonderful friend to me and I am very sad that he is no longer with us.

Buck touched so many of us in so many different ways--Education, Business, Recreation, friendship,family and faith. His personality could warm up to many of us and his contributions were experienced in various professional and personal endeavors.
Buck's contributions were always "value added" and he was sought by many for his expertise and experiences. 
My family and I were close to Buck throughout the years and he was also a true friend to many others throughout the course of his life. 
We were was always impressed with his business acumen and his analytical skills along with his assessment/knowledge of school policy and the public school system- indeed a very sharp man, yet with a heart to love.

Bucky was a dear high school friend.  We shared our youthful escapades and fun times.  We will always remember his kindness when it came to burying our parents. Buck was a dear friend back in the late 60's, 70's and early 80's.  While I haven't been in touch with him in many years, his kindnesses when my dearest husband, William "Bill" Smith passed away at age 45 have never ever been forgotten.  Buck handled everything.... He will be greatly missed in Harlingen by many.

I remember Buck from my childhood and  he always had a smile. I had a great love of animals and he had a great love of teasing me about it. He  put on a grand smile the day he walked me into the trophy room of his house, where my eyes grew large and as I turned to leave he chuckled and assured me that each taxidermied animal had a name. It probably doesn't funny to others, but it was something that Buck continued up until my grandmother's passing, in which his help was invaluable. I will miss our witty banter, his smile, and his help.

Lots of great family memories with Bucky!  My prayers to the family.  RIP my friend.
