

The son of Joseph and Lily Hager, Jim grew up in Inglewood, CA. He was born October 4, 1946 in Redlands, CA and attended Inglewood High School.
Jim is survived by his wife Nancy; son Erik; grandson Arrick James; granddaughter Alora; grandson Aiden; nephew Justin Hager; niece Kathy Schoen; nephew Raymond Finner; and sister Ora Brown.
Jim is preceded in death by his daughter Jessica Hager; parents Joseph and Lily Hager; sister and brother in law Shirley and Walter Finner; and his brother Jack Hager.
At the age of 18, Jim enlisted in the Marine Corp. He valued this service highly and attained the rank of Master Gunnery Sergeant. As part of this service, Jim saw three tours in Vietnam (65 - 68). During this time, he formed many friendships, especially with the Long Range Recon Team called Killer Kane. Many of his memories have been put into a book, titled "Killer Kane" by Jim's leader Andrew R. Finlayson. Jim's many honors include 3 purple hearts and a bronze star.
Jim was a wonderful husband and a fantastic father. He had a great sense of humor and will be sorely missed by all.
