Janie Williams-Ibarra, of Sherman Texas, formerly from Weslaco, passed away on October 10, 2026, leaving behind a lifetime of memories that will forever be cherished by her family and all those who knew and loved her.
Janie was a one-of-a-kind soul whose creativity, strong will, and adventurous spirit made her unforgettable. An artistic and resourceful woman, she was truly a jack of all trades, always finding ways to create, fix, build, and bring her ideas to life. There was very little she couldn't figure out when she put her mind to it. She lived life in her own way, with determination, independence, and a personality all her own.
Janie had a playful spirit and loved playing jokes, sharing laughter, and bringing smiles to the faces of those around her. She had a way of making ordinary moments memorable, and her sense of humor was a special part of who she was. Strong-willed and never afraid to speak her mind, Janie was a woman who stood her ground and remained true to herself.
She found happiness in the simple but beautiful things in life. Flowers, gardening, the outdoors, rocks, and nature held a special place in her heart. Whether tending to her garden, admiring a blooming flower, discovering an interesting rock, or enjoying the beauty of the world around her, Janie appreciated the little things that made life special. Her artistic eye allowed her to see beauty in places others might overlook.
Janie also shared a special bond with her beloved Yorkie, Tobby, who was a cherished companion and a special part of her life.
Janie's life and legacy are remembered by her husband, Michael Lynn Williams, who shared a meaningful part of her life's journey with her.
She was the daughter of Juan and Ella Ibarra and the sister of Veronica Sandoval, Norma Pena, and Alma Vallejo. The family bonds, memories, and experiences they shared will remain a treasured part of her story.
Janie's memory will continue to live on through her children: her son, John-Michael Williams, and her daughters, Michelle Lynn Williams King and Elizabeth Williams Kirk. Her love and legacy will also carry on through her grandchildren, Riley Lyn Smith, her granddaughter, and Jaxx Shelby King, her grandson.
Though Janie may no longer be physically present, the memories she created, the laughter she shared, and the love she gave will remain in the hearts of those she leaves behind. Her spirit will be remembered in the flowers that bloom, the beauty of nature, the treasures found in ordinary places, and the laughter that comes from remembering her playful ways.
Janie Williams-Ibarra was a strong, creative, independent, and unforgettable woman who lived life in her own unique way. She leaves behind a legacy of memories, family bonds, and moments that will be cherished for generations to come.
May she rest in peace, surrounded by the beauty of nature and the everlasting love of those who hold her dear. She will be deeply missed, forever loved, and never forgotten.
