

Johnny loved and was loved by all. His main priority was his family whom he loved dearly. He never had children of his own, but his nephews and niece along with his great-nieces and great-nephews were his pride and joy. His hobbies included, fishing, hunting, drag racing, bowling, going to car shows, and watching sports. Johnny's favorite teams were Dallas Cowboys and Houston Astros. He loved driving his camaro "Red Rocket".
Johnny graduated high school in 1969 from Harlingen, then received a BA in Business from UT Pan American. Johnny worked in the family business, Lewis Septic Service, established by his father and uncle in 1943. He and his brother (Jerry) continued to run the business as partners from 1989 until Johnny's death.
Johnny is survived by his siblings Cheryl Hays (Jim), Jerry Lewis (Ronda), Debra Parks (Scott). His nephews Jason Hays (Amanda), Jeffrey Lewis (Carrie), Justin Hays (Kristin), Jeremy Lewis (Kendyll), Bryan Parks (Kelly); his niece Ashley Parks (Zoey). His great-nephews Jake Lewis, Jaxen Lewis, James Lewis, Jordan Lewis, Malikai Parks, Wyatt Hays, Walker Hays; great-nieces Jayden Hays, Juliette Hays, Charlotte Lewis, Aspen Parks, and Khole Parks.
Johnny is preceded in death by his parents Johnny W. and Betty Jo Lewis.
The family would like to thank the owner and staff at Angelcare Haven for their dedication and compassion in caring for Johnny during his final days.
Johnny will be deeply missed by family, friends, and business associates.
A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, July 15, 2023 at 10AM - 2PM with a prayer service at 11AM at Heavenly Grace Funeral Home, 26873 N. White Ranch Road, La Feria, TX 78559.
