Jorge Guerrero

He leaves his wife of 54 years, Maria De Jesus Reyes; his daughter, Silvia; his sons, Ismael and Carlos; and his seven grandchildren, Andrea, Elisa, Cristina, Sofia, Noelia, Natalia, and Nicco.

Jorge was the son of Ismael Guerrero and Carmen Gamboa. Born in Durango, Mexico, raised in Valle Hermoso, Tamaulipas, Mexico; Jorge lived his adult life in Chicago, Illinois, before retiring to La Feria, Texas.

Jorge was a loving husband, dedicated grandfather, and family man. He attended St. Francis Xavier Church where he volunteered many hours, and was an active member with the Knights of Columbus. Jorge was always seen around the neighborhood, walking and visiting with his neighbors. He loved his grandchildren with a passion and always made time for family trips to South Padre Island. Jorge loved to drive around the county, regularly traveling from the Valley to Chicago and Denver to visit his friends and family. He will be missed greatly by all who knew him.

Visitation will be held at Heavenly Grace Funeral Home on Wednesday February 21, 2018 at 1:00 pm - 9:00 pm rosary at 7:00pm. Funeral service is planned for February 22 at St. Francis Church in La Feria with burial at Heavenly Grace Memorial Park.
