Vacationing at Big Grandpa's house is what I always looked forward to as a kid. From playing with the fruit magnets on the fridge to venturing off in Big Grandma's garden, that was more excitement than what my little mind could take.  The warm, welcoming hugs from the both of them was a true feeling of unconditional love, and I knew that's exactly where my mother got her hugs from. Another piece of my heart went missing when I heard that Big Grandpa was gone. As many years as he lived, you forget that no one lives forever, but I know that part of my heart has now reunited with the other half and is as happy as can be. No more suffering..that's all I could ever ask for.  My love and prayers go out to all my family. Though we are apart, we do hurt together, and we shall also get through this together. 
I love you Big Grandpa! May you forever rest in peace. Give Big Grandma a huge hug and kiss for me.

Grandpa,
As I was growing up, I remember myself always looking up to you, always admiring you, and having you as my role model/father figure.  You have always been there for me; urging and pushing me to always be better, to never settle, and to fight harder.  And judging by the person I am today, you did an awesome job!  I wouldn’t be who I am or where I am without your kind words and wise guidance.  Now, I've passed on to my children and grandchildren  your morals, values, and most importantly the teachings of our Catholic faith.  You certainly made life so much easier for me to live.  I love that I was able to spoil you with sending you empanaditas, hojarascas, and gorditas de azucar.
 Although Alzheimer’s made your memory and thoughts a little fuzzy, to me you will ALWAYS be the most intelligent man, my human Google, my hero, my best friend, my true North, my rock...the most phenomenal man to ever walk the surface of this Earth!!  Que Dios te tenga en su santa gloria!

Our annual summer trips to visit you as a little girl, will ALWAYS be remembered. Sweet bread in the early morning is something I will always remember you by. You will forever be missed! May your sweet soul rest in paradise, Big grandpa ❤️

Your historic stories will always stay with me forever. Thank you for the memories... thank you for the love... and thank you for your kindness. I love you grandpa. You will forever be missed.
