Jose Perez Jr. (Speedy)

Jose Perez Jr (Speedy) will be remembered with deep affection for the steady, caring presence he brought to those around him. He found joy in the things that felt familiar and true—cheering for the Dallas Cowboys, following Jeff Gordon in NASCAR, and settling in to watch martial arts movies with a cold Dr Pepper or Miller Lite close at hand. He appreciated good food and simple comforts, especially homemade enchiladas with rice and beans, and he carried himself with a quiet readiness—simple in his ways, but always prepared. Being on the road was his life, and he took honest pride in it—sharing that world by taking his son and daughter out on the road with him, offering time together and the kind of love shown through presence and provision.

Jose survived by his wife; Dolores Lorena Perez, his children; David L. Perez, Joseline Perez and Jesus J. Perez III, his grandchildren; Sebastian C. Perez, Delilah A. Perez, Mikaila Perez, Jesse Perez Jr, Samantha Perez, his brother; Andy Perez, his sister; Sharon Sanchez and parents; Petra Pena and Jose Perez.

Visitation will be held at Heavenly Grace Funeral Home & Memorial Park, 26873 N. White Ranch Road, La Feria, Texas 78559, on July 2, 2026, from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm, with the Holy Rosary at 12:30 pm.

A Committal Service will take place at Harlingen Combes Memorial Cemetery, 20969 Sid Jones Rd, Harlingen, TX 78552, US, on July 2, 2026, at 2:00 pm.
