Juan Cardenas, 76, of Donna, TX, passed on September 5, 2026.
Juan was a loving father, grandfather, and great-grandfather whose greatest joy was his family. His grandchildren and great-grandchildren held a precious place in his heart. He also enjoyed sitting outside in the evenings, catching up with his friends, telling jokes, and laughing. He loved planting rose bushes in every color and watching them grow and bloom.
He also loved his trucks. There was something about owning a truck, getting behind the wheel, and simply driving around that brought him joy.
Anyone who knew Juan knew he was a loyal Dallas Cowboys fan. No matter how the season was going, he always believed, “This is our year!” His faith in his Cowboys never wavered.
Although he will be deeply missed, he leaves behind something that can never be taken away: the love, memories, laughter, and traditions he gave his family.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Francisca Martinez Cardenas; his children, Crystal Benitez (Felix Benitez), Jeanette Cardenas (Frankie Caballero), Joann Conde (John Conde), and Juan Cardenas Jr. His grandchildren, Janel Sabrina, Felix J. Benitez, Desiree Medrano, Jayden Caballero, Abcde Caballero, Eric Garcia, and Kovacs Bautista. Great-Grandchildren, Mason and Madison Belmares. His siblings, Rene Cardenas Sr. and Viola Romero (Lawrence Romero). He is also survived by numerous nephews and cousins who loved him.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Cesario Cardenas and Nicolasa Zepeda Cardenas. Brother, Cruz Cardenas, sister-in-law, Delia Cardenas, and nephew, Rene Cardenas Jr.
Public Visitation will be held at HEAVENLY GRACE MEMORIAL PARK FUNERAL HOME, 26873 N. White Ranch Road, La Feria, TX 78559, US, on September 9, 2026, from 2:00 pm to 9:00 pm.
