

Juan grew up in Harlingen, helping his father farm the lands. Whether it was picking cotton or any other vegetable or grain he had a story to tell. He spent a few years working in California, but then came back to Harlingen where he later joined the Harlingen Fire Department. He worked for city for about 5 years until he got hurt and had to retire. He spent his retirement years at home doing what he loved...working outside. He opened his own nursery for brief period.
Juan was an active member at the Queen of Peace Church where he was recognized as a Minister Extraordinaire. He was also very involved with the Knights of Columbus where he was a 4th Degree.
He is preceded in death by his parents; 2 brothers and 2 sisters: Jose Sauceda, Frank Sauceda, Rosie Chamberlain, Lupe Rodriguez. Also his sister in law Laurie Sauceda.
Left to cherish his memory is his loving wife Romana Sauceda. Children Elisa Sauceda, Beckie Sauceda and Juan (Mally) Sauceda Jr. Brothers Raul Sauceda, Pablo (Candie) Sauceda. Sisters Tonie (Gene) Fritz, Juana Sauceda, Irma (Adan) Duran, Licha Sauceda and Sister in Law Alex Sauceda. Numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren also many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on March 1, 2026, from 2:00 pm to 10:00 pm, with the Holy Rosary to be prayed that evening at 7:00 pm.
Mass at Queen of Peace Catholic Church will take place on March 2, 2026, at 10:00 am, followed by burial at Heavenly Grace Memorial Park at 11:00 am.
