With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of our dear father Julio Vasquez Jr. on November 1, 2023. He was a beacon of love, warmth, and wisdom whose presence illuminated our lives in countless ways.
Born on December 15, 1955 in Mercedes, Texas, Julio Vasquez Jr. was a nurturing parent, a devoted spouse to his late wife Norma Jean Vasquez and current wife Norma Elisa Vasquez, and a cherished friend to many. His unconditional love knew no bounds, and he approached life with boundless optimism, leaving an indelible mark on all who had the privilege of knowing him.
Julio Vasquez Jr., was a storyteller, a listener, and a constant source of encouragement. His laughter was infectious, and his smile could light up any room. His kindness was a guiding light, and his generosity touched the lives of everyone he encountered.
Julio Vasquez Jr. was an avid lover of fishing and movie watching, and his enthusiasm was contagious. He shared his passions generously, creating lasting memories with family and friends alike.
His love for family was unparalleled, and he reveled in the joys of parenthood and grandparenthood. His legacy of love and compassion will forever resonate in the lives of his children, David Anthony Vasquez, Jonelle Murjani Vasquez, Julie Ann Vasquez-Lira (Simon), Abigail Franco, and grandchildren, Ivan Anthony Vasquez, Bryon Andrew Vasquez, Murjani Skye Mosley, Savanah Machuca, David Anthony Vasquez Jr., Ricardo Julio Vasquez, Camila Franco-Castillo and Madison Jean Lira.
Julio Vasquez Jr. is survived by his wife Norma Elisa Vasquez, his mother Nicolasa Vasquez, his brother Nicolas Vasquez, his brother Carlos Vasquez, his brother Bernabe Vasquez, his sister Elisa Vasquez, his sister Isabel Elliott, and his children and grandchildren. He is proceeded in death by his father Julio Vasquez, his late wife Norma Jean Vasquez, his sister Cristina Vasquez, and his brother Hilario Vasquez.
A celebration of Julio Vasquez Jr.’s life will be held on November 7, 2023 at Heavenly Grace Funeral Home-26873 N. White Ranch Rd. La Feria, Texas. Visitations will be held from 2:00pm -11:00pm. The prayer service will begin at 7:00pm in the Heavenly Grace chapel. A church service will be held on November 8, 2023 at 10:00am at the Gospel Tabernacle- 3630 Business 77 Sebastian, Texas followed by his burial at Heavenly Grace Memorial Park- 26873 N. White Ranch Rd. La Feria, Texas at 11:00am.
Honored to serve as pallbearers are David Anthony Vasquez, Simon Lira, Nicolas Vasquez, Bernabe Vasquez, Juan Vasquez, Harvey Rodriguez, and Luis Vega. Honorary pallbearers are Ivan Anthony Vasquez and Bryon Vasquez.
While Julio Vasquez Jr. may no longer be with us physically, his spirit lives on in the love he bestowed upon us. His legacy of warmth, kindness, and love will continue to inspire and guide us.
