Karen was a kind and loving mother, grandmother, and friend who will be deeply missed. She was preceded in death by her parents, her brother Ray Lamar Cain Jr., and her common-law spouse Jerry Jarrel.
A passionate reader with a love for historical murder mysteries, Karen was often found with a book in her hand and a cat by her side. Her quiet strength, sharp mind, and warm heart were cherished by all who knew her.
She is survived by her two daughters, Dixie Parker and Savannah Atkins, along with her seven beloved grandchildren, who brought her much joy and pride throughout her life.
A private family service will be held to honor her memory. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to a local animal shelter or a charity supporting literacy in her name.
Karen's love for life and those around her will live on in the memories of her family and friends.
