Karl L. Cole was born November 11, 1941 in Whitaker, Michigan. Beloved husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather went to be with his maker Monday January 9, 2017, after a brief battle with lung cancer.
A local contractor/carpenter for 38 years, building homes at Stuart Place Country Club and Cottonwood Country Club, and building floats for area parades. He was a member of Emmaus, La Feria Methodist Church and Santa Rosa Methodist Church.
Karl was the son of and was preceded in death by his parents Robert and Dorothy Cole. He is survived by his wife, Judy of Santa Rosa, son Robert of Santa Rosa, daughter Melissa of McAllen, granddaughters Crystal (Javi) and Chelsea of McAllen, Grandson David (Cynthia) of Mission, Great-Granddaughters Nichole of McAllen and Khi Ehmani of Mission, Great-grandson Billy (Sasha) of US Marines, Camp Pendleton, California.
A Memorial will be held Saturday, January 14, 2017, at 4:30 pm in the La Feria United Methodist Church, 331 S. Main, La Feria. Contributions may be made in Karl’s name to the American Cancer Society for the cure of lung cancer.
