Kenneth Ray Hart Sr., lovingly known as Kenny and affectionately called “Leadfoot” for his heavy foot and love of speeding, passed away January 28, 2026, surrounded by the people who loved him most.
Kenny spent much of his life in the carnival industry, a world that shaped him and raised him. It was more than a job; it was home. He believed in hard work, speaking his mind, and doing things his own way. Kenny lived without regret and never apologized for who he was. It was always his way or the highway, and he stood by that proudly.
He was a devoted father to Kenneth Ray Hart Jr. and Tina Marlene Hart, instilling in them the same grit, independence, and unshakable principles that defined his life.
But his favorite role of all was being Grandpa. He took immense pride in seeing Katlyn Lanae Hart, Cameron Nicole Hart, and Gloria Hildaura Mena grow into the remarkable humans they are today, deeply shaped by the way he loved and by the morals that made him unforgivably him, qualities that made his granddaughters undeniably his. He was also the grandfather of Tristan Kayde Hart, who passed away as an infant, and three grandsons, Artemio Hart, Baltazar Hart Jr., and Johnathan Hart.
Kenny shared later years with his girlfriend, Sherri Fogle, and her grandchildren, who brought him more laughter, stories, and opportunities to pass along his unmistakable personality.
Above all else, Kenny loved Katherine “Katie” Hart, the love of his life and the glue of the Hart family. With her curly hair, baby blue eyes, and steady presence, she was his constant for over 40 years. Together, they built a life rooted in loyalty, family, and a love that never wavered. The family takes comfort knowing he is now reunited with her once again.
His family knows what love is because of the way Kenny loved his people. It was a side of him few saw, but those who did will never take it for granted.
We rest easy knowing Kenny is now cutting up jackpots with the carnies in Heaven, probably still going a little too fast and doing everything exactly the way he always did.
Kenny will be deeply missed, but his legacy lives on through the lives he shaped, the lessons he taught, and the love he gave so freely.
