Lila Jolaine Lanehart

Lila Jolaine Lanehart, age 73, passed away on Friday, June 14, 2024. Jolaine was a devoted educator throughout her life. Upon retiring from 29 years in education, Jolaine volunteered in state and national parks, refuges and with the Rio Grande Valley Chapter Master Naturalists. Aside from volunteering, Jolaine enjoyed world traveling, basket weaving, bird watching, and most recently, golfing. Jolaine always found joy in learning new things and sharing that knowledge with others.

Surviving Jolaine are her sons Sam Najvar (Annette) and John Najvar (Ana); her grandchildren Chris Najvar (Kayla), Brittny Najvar, Sebastian Quilo, Miranda Quilo and great-grandchildren Rocklynn Najvar and Knoxton Najvar. Jolaine is also survived by her brother, John Lanehart (Judy) and several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, and close friends.

Jolaine was preceded in death by her husband, Jim Najvar and her parents, Raymond and Leona Lanehart.

Please join us in celebrating Jolaine’s life on Saturday, June 29, 2024 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM with a prayer service starting at 5:00 PM at Heavenly Grace Funeral Home and Memorial Park, 26873 White Ranch Road, La Feria, TX 78559 In lieu of flowers, please make donations in Jolaine’s name to the Rio Grande Valley Chapter Texas Master Naturalists or to your favorite park, refuge, or nature center.
