Mrs. Margarita Morales entered into eternal rest on Monday, August 12, 2024. She was born in Harlingen, TX on September 25, 1973 to Pedro and Gloria Chavez who have preceded her in death. Preceding her in death is her brother Jesus Chavez. All of which will be greeting her with open arms in heaven.
Margarita is survived and dearly missed by her loving family, husband, Geraldo Morales; sons, Michael Anthony Sanchez (Vanessa), Martin Charles Sanchez, Matthew Ryan Sanchez (Myra), Mark Angel Sanchez (Teresa), Geraldo Morales Jr. and daughter, Daniella Marie Morales; grandchildren, nieces, nephews, extended family and a multitude of friends.
Margarita loved her family dearly and had a very unique way of expressing her deep and never ending love for them. Always supportive of her children’s sports, academics, and above all, their dreams. Margarita was always the life of the party. She had a great passion for singing and dancing. When she wasn’t out on the dance floor, she was singing her heart out alongside her husband. Over her children’s objections, one of her favorite things was to cuddle under a warm blanket and watch romantic Christmas movies from her couch. Margarita’s stove top was always burning. She was an excellent cook and nobody ever left her home hungry.
Margarita had a great and undeniable hunger for life. Even during debilitating chemotherapy she chose to travel the country with her husband. Sometimes it was a trip to Colorado and sometimes it was a simple drive to South Padre Island. She is a tremendous example to us all. She touched so many hearts and leaves a long lasting legacy of love, empathy, caring, jokes, and strength. Margarita never gave up. She fought her illness with all her might to the last day. She possessed a superhuman toughness and grit you only hear about it movies. She was a vibrant and joyful person who brought light and happiness. She leaves a profound emptiness, but the memories of her singing, dancing, cooking, sense of humor, and motherly love remain in our hearts.
A visitation for Margarita will be held Friday, August 16, 2024 from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at Heavenly Grace Funeral Home & Memorial Park, 26873 N. White Ranch Road, La Feria, Texas 78559. Following the visitation, she will be laid to rest at 3:00 p.m. at Heavenly Grace Memorial Park.
