During her life, Maria loved playing loteria, traveling, tending to her yard full of flowers and plants, and enjoyed bird watching. Most of all, she had loved spending time with her family- especially her grandsons, who she loved so dearly. Maria lived a joyful and happy life.
Maria is survived by her loving husband of 54 years, Arturo Mendez; children, Monica Mendez James & Myrta Mendez. Grandsons, Micheal Matthew James, Arturo Ismael Conde, & Victor Fernando Conde. Siblings, Esmeralda Vela, Jesus Alanis, & Sam Williams.
She is preceded in death by her mother, Ignacia G. Williams & sister, Norma Alicia Grimaldo.
Visitation will be on Saturday, September 26, 2026, from 1-9PM at Heavenly Grace Funeral Home & Memorial Park, with Prayer of the Holy Rosary at 7PM.
