Marilyn Dianne Robinson

Marilyn Dianne Robinson, a beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and cherished member of her family, passed away on August 9, 2026, at the age of 89. She was residing in Harlingen, Texas, at the time of her passing, but Las Cruces, New Mexico, was her home for most of her life and held a very special place in her heart.

Marilyn was a devoted and hardworking woman who spent more than 40 years working at Montgomery Ward. Over the course of her many years there, she built a life marked by dedication, strength, and commitment to providing for those she loved.

One of Marilyn’s favorite places was the Organ Mountains in Las Cruces, New Mexico. She loved the beauty of the mountains and the special sense of home and peace they brought her.

Above all else, Marilyn’s greatest legacy was her family. She loved deeply and leaves behind generations of family who will continue to carry her memory, stories, and love with them.

Marilyn was preceded in death by her loving husband, Jay Robinson; her beloved daughter, Jody; her parents, Howard and Mary Jo Clayton; and her sister, Kitty Smith. There is comfort in knowing that she is now reunited with those she loved and missed so dearly.

She is survived by her daughters, Linda and Cheryl; her grandchildren, Michael, Kristopher, Jason, Heather, Leah, Stephanie, Liz, Annie, and Jessica; as well as her many beloved great-grandchildren and extended family members.

Marilyn will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her. Her family will remember her through the stories they share, the laughter and memories they created together, and the love she gave throughout her life.

Though she will be greatly missed, her memory will live on in the hearts of her family and in the generations that follow.

She may be gone, but the love she gave us will never leave us. Forever loved, forever missed, forever our Granny. ❤️
