Mauricia “Wicha” Rodriguez passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by the love and presence of her family and loved ones. She leaves behind a lifetime of love, cherished memories, and a family who will forever hold her close in their hearts.
Wicha dedicated more than 30 years of her life to caring for others as a Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN). Her compassion, kindness, and dedication touched the lives of countless people throughout her years of service.
Wicha was a loving mother and grandmother who treasured spending time with all of her grandchildren. Her family was one of the greatest joys of her life, and she created countless memories that will be treasured for generations to come.
Outside of caring for others, Wicha enjoyed crocheting, going to the casinos, enjoying a glass of wine, and having a meal at Red Lobster. She found joy in the simple pleasures of life and, most of all, in being surrounded by the people she loved.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Manuel Carlos Rodriguez; her son, Carlos Rodriguez; and her parents, Manuel and Lucia Duran.
Wicha is survived by her children: Teresa Guerrero; Daniel Rodriguez (Joanne); Gustavo Rodriguez (Joann); Guillermo Rodriguez (Marisol); and David Rodriguez; as well as her beloved grandchildren, who will continue to honor and cherish her memory.
Wicha will be remembered for her loving heart, caring spirit, strength, and unwavering devotion to her family. Her legacy will live on through the many lives she touched and through the family she loved so dearly.
Though she may no longer be with us, her love will remain in our hearts forever.
Visitation will be held at Heavenly Grace Funeral Home & Memorial Park, 26873 N. White Ranch Road, La Feria, Texas 78559, on August 30, 2026, from 3:00 pm to 9:00 pm, with a Rosary at 7:00 pm.
A Chapel Service will take place on August 31, 2026, at 10:00 am.
A Committal Service will follow at Heavenly Grace Memorial Park, 26873 N. White Ranch Road, La Feria, TX 78559, US, on August 31, 2026, at 11:00 am.
