Piper was a loving spouse, mother, and grandmother(Nene) whose kindness, strength, and sense of humor touched everyone who knew her. Born in Uvalde, TX, later moving to Donna, TX, she spent her life devoted to her family, friends, and the people she loved most.
One of the most remarkable things about Piper was her generosity. She had a heart of gold and was always thinking of others. If you happened to mention that you loved a wreath she had, chances are it would show up at your door a day or two later. If someone was struggling and couldn’t pay a utility bill, Piper would quietly step in and help without expecting anything in return.
Her kindness was not something she did for recognition, it was simply who she was. She found joy in giving, helping, and making life a little easier for those around her. Whether it was a thoughtful gift, a helping hand, or support during a difficult time, Piper was always there. She leaves behind a legacy of compassion, selflessness, and love that will never be forgotten
Piper dedicated many years of her career to serving others with the same warmth and dedication she brought to every aspect of her life. She worked at Dunn Auction alongside James Dunn in the late 1980s and early 1990s, where her strong work ethic and organizational skills made her an invaluable part of the business.
In 1998, Piper joined Don-Wes Flea Market, where she became a beloved fixture of the community. Known for her wit, humor, and welcoming personality, she had a special gift for making people feel at home and turning customers into lifelong friends.
Beyond her career, Piper cherished her children, grandchildren, and the friendships she built over the years. She shared countless lunches, dinners, laughs, and special moments with those she loved. Her sense of humor, loyalty, and ability to bring joy to others will be remembered by all who knew her. Many called her their second mom or Aunt Piper.
Piper’s legacy lives on through the many lives she touched with her kindness, friendship, laughter, and love. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered
She is survived by her husband, Herschel Bray Jackson Jr.; son, Christopher Bray Jackson (Saundra Jackson); daughter, Cassandra Leigh Jackson Hitchings (Mark Hitchings); grandchildren Mackenzie Jackson, Connor Jackson, and Harper Hitchings; sister, Pamela Prickett; and brother, Paul Prickett (Cindy Prickett).
She was preceded in death by her parents, Janice and Paul Clayton Prickett; her parents-in-law, Effie and Herschel Jackson; her sister, Paige Prickett; and her sister-in-law, Mollie Munoz.
Though our hearts are broken, we find comfort in the memories, love, and lessons Piper leaves behind. She will forever remain in our hearts.
