Raul Daniel Caballero

Raul was born October 6, 1947 in Laredo, Texas to Jesus R. and Josefina Caballero. He graduated from Laredo Martin High School Class of 1966, where he participated in the Martin High School Singing Cadets. He served his country in the United States Air Force. His passions were hunting, spending time out on the ranch, riding his motorcycle, and most especially playing and spending time with his grandchildren. He was a retired Registered Nurse after working many years as House Supervisor at Knapp Medical Center in Weslaco, TX. He will always be remembered for his amazing strength and caring heart and be dearly missed by all.

Raul is survived by his loving wife Maria E. Caballero, children, David Caballero, Danny (Sherry) Caballero, Linda (Tony) Silvestro and Ricardo (Bekah) Caballero; brothers, Jesus Caballero (Maria) Caballero and Humberto Caballero; sisters, Berta (Alfonso) Tamez, Bibi (Joe) Castaneda and brother-in-law Eloy Sosa; numerous nephews and nieces. He is preceded in death by his parents Jesus and Josefina Caballero, sister Carlota Sosa and son Jesus Roberto “Beto” Caballero

Visitation will be held today, Friday January 8, 2016 from 1pm-9pm with a holy rosary to be prayed at 7pm at Heavenly Grace Funeral Chapel.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, January 9, 2016 at 10am at Heavenly Grace Funeral Chapel with Chaplain Joe Perez officiating with full military honors under the auspices of American Legion Post 205 and VFW Post 2410.
