Rita was born and raised in Harlingen. She graduated from high school in 1969. She was employed with the La Feria School District for many years. She enjoyed baking and was an avid member of Queen of Peace Catholic Church in Harlingen. She also enjoyed helping others and taught CCD for many years at Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church.
Rita is survived by her brothers; Rudy (Amira)Rodriguez, Rogelio (Abby) Rodriguez , Ralph (Pat) Rodriguez; sister Regina (Guadalupe) Valdez,
Rita was preceded in death by her mother Maria Q Rodriguez; father Francisco Rodriguez; sisters Rosemary Hernandez and Carmen Villarreal; her brother Francisco Rodriguez Jr.
A rosary for Rita will be held Tuesday, September 12, 2023 at 9:00 a.m. followed by a Memorial Mass at 10:00 a.m. at Queen of Peace.
