Robert was an avid gardener, and loved spending time with his family.
Robert is survived by son Bruce Towne (Janet); son Steven Towne (Kerri); daughter Mary Jo Beane; daughter Roberta Mitzel (Gary); daughter Rebecca Troutman (Gene); son James Towne; and daughter Laurie Towne; Robert also leaves behind 13 grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren all who will miss him dearly.
Robert is preceded in death by wife Lydia of 70 years in July of 2019.
Memorial Services will be held for Robert and Lydia at Holy Cross Catholic Church in Morrisville, Vermont on Sept 10, 2019. In lieu of flowers please make donations in Dad's name to: Benidictines Sisters of the Good Shepherd 705 Monastery Lane
