
Rolando was born on January 28, 1951, in El Rancho Solis near La Feria, Texas, graduating from La Feria High School in 1968 and attending Pan American University in Edinburg and Texas A&I University in Kingsville.
A Harlingen resident, Rolando worked with the family food distributing business, in numerous sales positions. He was a life long entrepreneur and loved the various roles he had over the years. Out of all his many accomplishments he was most proud of becoming a husband to Norma in 1985 and a father to Laura in 1989. His love for them was one of a kind and unending.
Rolando is preceded in death by his beloved wife, Teresa Norma Zamora, and survived by their daughter, Laura Zamora Parks and her husband Jason Parks. Loved ones include parents Eudelia and ✝️Emilio Zamora of La Feria, siblings Emilio (Angela Valenzuela) Zamora Jr. of Austin, ✝️Maria Olga Zamora, Noelia (✝️Orlando) Flores of McAllen, Elia (Lee) Hernandez of Harlingen, Cecilia Amador of Houston, Norma (Ramiro) Guerra of Edinburg, Leticia (✝️Joseph) Sankovet of San Benito, Ricardo (Flor) Zamora of McAllen, and Aida (Mario) Gonzalez of La Feria, as well as numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews throughout the country.
Rolando was one of a kind. He never left a room without talking to everyone and making friends. He was a proud member of Connect Point Church for over 30 years. He had a strong belief and faith in God and Gods plan for his life. He left his daughter a strong foundation in God and reminded her often to pray and trust in God for all things.
Visitation will take place on Saturday Dec. 10, at 9 a.m., at Connect Point Church 622 E Jefferson Ave. in Harlingen Texas followed by a church service at 11 a.m. at the same location.
