

Born on July 14, 1961, in Chicago, Illinois, Ruben was the son of Ruben Isaac Uribe and Yolanda (Perez) Moreno. Throughout his life, he was known for his intelligence, creativity, generosity, and deep love for his family. He approached life with curiosity and enthusiasm, always eager to learn something new and share his knowledge with others.
Ruben dedicated much of his professional life to serving the people of the Rio Grande Valley as a Respiratory Therapist. During his years at Mission Regional Medical Center and Edinburg Regional Medical Center, he provided compassionate care to countless patients and families. His dedication, professionalism, and genuine concern for others earned him the respect of his colleagues and the gratitude of those he served.
Outside of his profession, Ruben was a man of many talents and interests. He found joy in woodworking, cooking, painting, and drawing, often using his creativity to build, create, and express himself. An avid reader and lifelong learner, he enjoyed exploring a wide range of subjects and was especially fascinated by history, documentaries, and the mysteries of the paranormal. He was also a devoted fan of rock music, finding comfort and inspiration in the music he loved throughout his life.
Above all, Ruben cherished his family. He was a loving husband, devoted father, caring son, and loyal brother. His kindness, sense of humor, wisdom, and unwavering support left a lasting impression on everyone fortunate enough to know him. Whether sharing a meal, offering advice, discussing a favorite book or documentary, or simply spending time with loved ones, Ruben made every moment meaningful.
Ruben was preceded in death by his father, Ruben Isaac Uribe.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Elizabeth Uribe; his daughters, Erika R. Uribe and Michael Corcoran, and Monica E. Uribe and Kelli Pepper; his mother, Yolanda P. Moreno, and her husband, Santiago Moreno; his brothers, Jorge Perez, Martin O. Uribe and wife Linda, and Eduardo Uribe and wife Susan; along with numerous nieces, nephews, extended family members, dear friends, and former colleagues who will forever cherish his memory.
Family and friends are invited to celebrate Ruben's life on June 5, 2026, at Heavenly Grace Funeral Home in La Feria, Texas. Visitation will be held from 3:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m., with a Celebration of Life Service at 7:00 p.m.
Though his earthly journey has ended, Ruben's legacy of love, creativity, compassion, and service will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew him. He will be deeply missed, fondly remembered, and forever loved.
