It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Salina Rodriguez, a devoted mother, loving sister, and cherished friend, who left us too soon. Salina passed away on February 24, 2025, after fighting a tough battle with cancer. Though she is no longer with us, she leaves behind a legacy of love, laughter, strength, and resilience that will inspire all who knew her.
Salina was the embodiment of hard work and dedication. She gave everything for her children, always making sure they were well taken care of and supported. She loved nothing more than spending time with them—whether it was a trip to the store for some shopping, getting their hair done, or simply sharing beauty tips. Salina’s nurturing spirit shone through in everything she did, and her love for her children was boundless.
Throughout her illness, Salina showed incredible courage and grace. She fought with every ounce of strength she had, never allowing her battle to define her. She faced every challenge with a smile and a sense of humor, proving to everyone around her the power of love, perseverance, and determination. Her fight against cancer was a testament to her inner strength, and through it all, she remained a beacon of positivity and hope.
She was also a source of light and humor in every room. Salina was known as the funny one in the family, always ready to share a joke or make others smile. Her infectious smile and wit were a gift to everyone who knew her. She and her sister had an unbreakable bond, often sending each other funny videos that would brighten their days.
Salina was also a proud advocate for her son with autism, supporting him every step of the way and showing the world the power of love and perseverance. She poured her heart into making sure her children had the opportunities they deserved and never hesitated to fight for what was best for them.
Her work family was an extension of her own, and she was loved deeply by her coworkers. They admired her strong work ethic, her warmth, and her kindness. Salina brought joy and positivity wherever she went, making lasting connections and leaving a mark on everyone she met.
Her signature red lipstick was never far from her, a small but powerful symbol of her bold personality and zest for life. Whether spending time with family, friends, or simply enjoying a good movie, Salina’s spirit was always one of love, strength, and beauty—inside and out.
Salina leaves behind her children Jaylynn A. Garza, Katelynn M. Garza, and Eric Z. Garza, sister Shannon Aguilar (Antonio Aguilar Jr.), and her mother Raquel O. Rodriguez. Including many aunts, uncles, cousins, friends, and colleagues who will forever remember her as a beacon of love, humor, and strength. Her legacy will live on in the memories she made, the laughter she shared, and the countless lives she touched.
A visitation for Salina will be held Monday, March 3, 2025 from 2PM to 9PM with a prayer service at 7PM. A chapel service will be held Tuesday, March 4, 2025 at 1PM with a burial to follow.
