NEVER FORGET

I am literally so shocked right now and deeply heartbroken. I had wondered for years what happened to my good friend Sissy. Just watched KRGV news and found out that she had passed. I cried because she is such a beautiful person and always will be. 

The first time I met her was actually in a behavioral hospital. Twice I bumped into her at different facilities, and it was always a joy to see her, my beautiful friend. She had buddy with her, and we became friends right away because we could relate to each other so much. I had planned to spend time with her at some point, but our schedules were complicated. I always thought about her and her sweet friendship. She made being in the hospital bearable, and gave me hope for the future and in friendships. 

If it hadn’t been for her, I probably wouldn’t be where I am today. I always wondered and prayed and thought about her, even when I lost touch with her. She will always be in my memory, and I will always think highly of her. 

Sissy my beautiful friend, I love you so much, and I wish we had five more minutes to talk. Even if it’s been so long, I will always remember you beautiful. Love, Lyssa.

I knew Sissy since way back at VMHS. We talked here and there. She was very polite and respectful to everyone. I ended up working with her at HEB for a little bit after HS graduation. I left to the Army in 09 and I had learned from her that she made the decision to enlist to the Air Force. 

Mr. & Mrs. Cox, her vivacious spirit was beautiful. Her sunny disposition and infectious smile could make anyones day. She was a kind and gentle spirt. 

May she finally rest at peace.

I remember being just kids waiting in the school cafeteria and giggling about stuff. I been wondering what had happened after she went to the Air Force  she looked so happy I was happy for her getting in.  I miss you Sissy and your smile.  My deepest condolences to your family.

Dang, I had no idea Sissy passed away. I’ve been trying to contact her for months. I only known her for six months but I miss your so much.

I am so sorry for your loss, Sissy was my first girlfriend along time ago and we both shared our first kiss together  when we were kids. 
Her memory will live on in the wonderful times we all shared with her, she was a beautiful women and she will be dearly missed.

I met you in 2010 at H-E-B, I worked service and you floral. We became work buddies fast! You were just such a sweetheart so kind and friendly. How could anyone not like you? You had such a like-able personality and we connected so well. You used to drive me around and always hear me out when I needed a friend. I loved calling you gringa because you always responded “I was born in Mexico I am from Guadalajara, get it right!” Lol 😂 you had such a great sense of humor. After you joined the Airforce we became distant and I so wish that would of never happened. I’ve learned some of the challenges you had to face and I wish I would of never lost contact with you to be there  for you. I miss you dear friend 😔 and for the record if the whole world would of known you, you’d be everyone’s favorite person! See you in heaven güera hermosa ❤️ 

I met you in February just this year we shared so much to each other of our pasts that we became family then and forever. I will always remember & love you.

Sissy- 
you will be missed and never forgotten. We were all honored to have you in our lives. You and Buddy are the good ones. Now you are an angel looking over us.

My sweet sister in arms. It was a short time to know you, but the best time ever! You gave me strength, when I needed it. You and Buddy will always be in my heart. I will miss you!! Rest In Peace my sweet sister in arms.

So wonderful to have shared one of the best moments with Sissy!  She  is part of my AF Wounded Warrior family and will be missed greatly. 

Sissy is an amazing person; so kind and loving. We attended the Air Force Trials last year (2019) and I was so scared. The first thing I saw and remember to this day is her big and beautiful eyes that lit up when we met and how big her smile was. She made me feel welcomed in an unfamiliar place and eased that fear. 
We both were Security Forces. Once a Defender always a Defender, we will hold the line from here.
We all will love and miss you dearly Sissy. Michael and I will be praying for you and your family.❤

One of the things I remembered was how nice and friendly you were to everyone. Your sweet sweet voice will remain in my memory forever.

I was fortunate enough to reconnect with Sissy after a long silence after high school. It was during my practicum where I was able to introduce her to art therapy in a group setting. I thought we reconnected for a reason, and I shared that it was an opportunity for us to grow and learn from one another. She was always someone I wondered about...Thank you for helping me grow in my profession and allowing me to introduce you to art as a therapy. 

May you Rest In Peace Sissy. God bless you and your family. You all are in my thoughts during this difficult time. 

Sissy and I met while attending the Air Force Wounded Warrior (AFW2) trials in Las Vegas, N.V. in 2019.  Sissy and I sat across from each other during a bus ride one morning; she was so kind, gentle, and a welcoming person among a sea of strangers.  As I discussed my family and in particular my son who has special needs, Sissy’s face lite up as she described her interactions and love of individuals with disabilities.

I was immediately impacted by Sissy’s soft, empathetic, graceful heart; clearly full of love for so many people.

I hurt for Sissy’s family.  I pray the Lord gives you stronger shoulders to carry the weight of the pain your loss brings.  God Bless.

Sissy was a beautiful person, inside and out.  She had the most beautiful smile, genuine personality, and sweet voice (probably my strongest recollection of Sissy is her voice!).

Sissy was a great friend to me during our time on the swim team together.  She was encouraging and would uplift those around her.

Though we lost touch over the years, I've often thought of Sissy and her kind nature.  I know she's smiling down upon her family in Paradise.

I have so many wonderful memories with Sissy! I remember when we were small riding our tricycles around or when we got older her riding in the passenger seat while I drove her to school with the top down and we laughed about our day! She will forever be my sunshine!
