

Wanda was preceded in death by her parents, E. Dudley and Lona Mae Jobe, her brother E. Dudley Jobe, Jr. and her son Dudley Alan Story. She is survived by her husband Paul Lee Greenhill, her children, Lisa Donnette Troxel, Ewing D. (Jill) Greenhill, Dwayne Paul (Emma) Greenhill and Jody Wade (Rena) Greenhill. Her adopted children Henry Anderson and Erica Anderson. Her beloved Grandchildren, Stewart Alan Lees, Amy Elaine Lees, Ewing D. Greenhill, Jr., Nicole Paris, Camille Renee Greenhill, Johnnie William Greenhill, Jeffrey Wyatt Greenhill, Claire Reanne Greenhill, Emily Francis Seymour, Molly-Anne Seymour, Zoe Madison Greenhill and Avery Morgan Greenhill. Her beloved adopted grandchildren Denise Dias, Julian Anderson, William Anderson, Henry Anderson, Oliver Anderson, and Dalton Hunter.
Wanda spent many happy days working in the rental car business, began by her father. Before and after retirement, she continued working for the organizations she loved. The Harlingen Arts & Heritage Museum Advisory Board past President, she was Treasurer of the Rio Grande Valley Museum Association, as well as Treasurer of the Rio Grande Valley Birding Festival. Her passionate love for Texas drew her to the Texas Tropical Trail Region as a board member and later an officer. During her working years, she was a member of the North Harlingen Rotary Club, and she served as a board member on the Harlingen Chamber of Commerce. Wanda served as President of the Northern Cameron County United Way and was a Judge on the Miss Texas USA Pageant. Last but not least was her devotion to Bethel Lutheran Church. She was the first woman Council President at Bethel and spent many hours spreading the good news! Her husband of 43 years was the love of her life, and they spent many happy days traveling the world, but was always happiest upon returning to our home, Rancho de Sweet Pea.
A Memorial service will be held on October 29, 2022 at Bethel Lutheran Church Lyford, Texas and a private interment will be held at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Bethel Lutheran Church, Rio Grande Valley Museum Association or Texas Tropical Trail Region.
