Billy was the life of the party and kept a smile on everyone’s face. He loved deeply and was always the first to help. Even through his own illnesses, he was the sole caretaker for his mother up until her death this past April. Now they join each other completely healthy, and undoubtedly with smiles on their faces.
His favorite pastime was fishing on the Arroyo. He spent many days and nights hoping to land the next big one, a pastime he shared with his loving family. His lively spirit will surely be missed by everyone who knew and loved him.
While Billy never had any children, he treated all of his nieces and nephews like his own.
Billy is preceded in death by his father Charles “Buddy” Witt, mother Lila Smith Witt and his long-time partner Roberta Garrett. He leaves behind two brothers, Benjamin and Butch Witt; nephew Randy Witt and nieces, Shaye Farris, Kaitlin Creamer, and Abigail Witt, along with great nieces and nephews, Brittany Rister, Payton Witt, Kinley Witt, Weslynn Farris, Ryann Creamer, Cash Farris and great-great nephew Bubba Hawkins.
An intimate family memorial will be held to honor his love and spirit. Please consider donating to the American Liver Foundation in his name to help others suffering from liver disease.
Fond memories and expressions of sympathy may be shared at www.heavenlygracergv.com for the Witt family.
