He was born in Wilmington, Delaware on March 22nd, 1944 and raised in Manhasset, New York by his late parents, Thomas and Doris Conway.
On June 1, 1968, Ed and Kay married in McKenzie, Tennessee and shared 58 wonderful years together.
Between 1968-1971, Ed served as a Sargent 5th Class in the Vietnam War.
Ed was an avid lover of golf and a member of the Eagle Creek Country Club. He even coached middle school golf at Collegiate.
He was a faithful member of the Covenant Church in La Grange, Kentucky and had been an active member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars.
Ed is preceded in death by his brothers; Brian Conway and Darrell Conway.
Left to cherish his memory is his wife; Kay Conway, his children; Ryan Conway (Lisa), Julie Dryden (John), and Justin Conway (Jessica), his grand-children; Sylvie Dryden, Josiann Conway, and Jane Porter, his siblings; Nicholas Conway and Kevin Conway (Marianne), many nieces, nephews, cousins and extended family and friends.
Visitation will be held from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM on October 9th, 2026 at Covenant Church in La Grange, Kentucky. A funeral service will be held the next day, October 10th, 2026 at Covenant Church beginning at 10:00 AM. Burial will follow at Walnut Grove Cemetery in Irvington, Kentucky.
