Angela Michelle Smith

April 14, 1977 – September 19, 2025

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Angela “Angie” Michelle Smith, age 48, of LaGrange, Kentucky.

Born on April 14, 1977, to the late Terry Lynn Smith and Mary Bea Caswell, Angie was a devoted mother, grandmother, daughter, sister, aunt, and friend.

She is survived by her mother, Mary Caswell, her brother Kevin Caswell, her sons Tyler Spears, Preston Smith (Jadea), daughter Madison Smith (Joseph), Dearll Taylor (Dearll Jr, Tasha, Tiffany), her Uncle Andy Eldridge (Christy). Angie was a proud grandmother to Avery, Ireland, Sophia, Alani, Aniyah, Brayden, and was eagerly anticipating the arrival of her newest grandchild, Roman. Angie was proud to be an aunt to Karlie and Rylie Caswell, and deeply loved her sister-in-law, Lisa Walker.

Angie is preceded in death by her father, Terry Lynn Smith, her brother, Terry “Bo” Douglas Smith, and her grandparents Andy and Alma Eldridge.

Angie’s passion for teaching was evident in her years of dedication to the community. As a preschool teacher at The B Hive Childcare Academy for the past four years, she prepared hundreds of children for Kindergarten with love, patience, and a unique ability to balance authority with compassion. Her sense of humor, quick wit, and caring nature made her a beloved figure among students and parents alike.

Angie was the perfect mix of sweet and sassy. Her love for her family knew no bounds, and her sarcasm and humor could light up any room. She was fiercely loyal and committed to her family, friends, and community. Her laughter, kindness, and genuine heart will forever be remembered

by those who had the privilege of knowing her.
