Ashley Lynette Leake

She was born on March 6, 1986, in Lexington, Kentucky to Ricky and Nadine Elzy Henderson.

Ashley graduated from Oldham County High School with the class of 2004 with honors, the biggest highlights of school days were getting to dance in the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade and singing at Carnegie Hall with St Francis of the Fields Choir. She also enjoyed playing basketball. Ashley earned a scholarship to further her education at the University of Kentucky where she earned her bachelor's degree in business and integrated strategic communications in 2009 and was a member of the Delta Sigma Theta Sorority.

She was a member of Covenant United Methodist Church, where she loved participating in youth activities.

Ashley loved being a Girl Mom to her three beautiful girls, Gabrielle, Skylar, and Dakota.

She is preceded in death by grandparents, Robert Elzy, William Henderson, and Marilyn Henderson; uncles, Mitchell Elzy, Egbert Jones, and Keneth Rowe; and cousins, Brittani Elzy and Kip Rowe.

Left to cherish the memory of Ashley are her daughters, Gabrielle, Skylar, and Dakota; mother, Nadine Elzy Henderson, father, Ricky Henderson; grandmother, Betty Lee Elzy; aunt and uncles, Robert Wayne Elzy (Darlene), Rodney Elzy (Pat), Toni Frierson (Todd), William "Buster" Henderson Jr. (Angie), Michelle Henderson, and Doneta Rowe; great-aunts, Rita Elzy and Sheryl Elzy Spencer; a host of extended family and friends.

A celebration of Ashley's life will be held on Friday, October 9, 2026, at Noon at Covenant United Methodist Church, 909 W Jefferson St, LaGrange, KY 40031 with burial to follow in Valley of Rest Cemetery. Visitation will be from 11am until the start of the service at the church. Repast will immediately follow the burial at the John Black Community Center.
