I was so sad to hear of Barbara’s passing.  She was such a smart gal and a wonderful person.  I missed her at our recent Class of ‘70 Reunion.  Shirley, I never knew you were Barbara’s sister.  My mother (Fidelia Rodgers) thought so much of you.  You and your family are in my thoughts and prayers .  May God comfort you and give you peace.

I remember Barbara was always so nice to me, Chris and David ( Gary's children).  Plus, she was very educated and professional.   She probably did not even realize it, but I really looked up to her.  She was one of my role models growing up.-Mrs. Shannon White Booker

Barbara was the best!  Every time I had questions about the Annual Performance Report (APR), Barbara would be right there to assist me with any questions or concerns.  She was so warm, friendly,  and down to earth.  Every time we visited IUPUI, we would go to Barbara's office first. We would go to lunch and talk, share, and laugh. I will never forget her advice. She would always make time for us. Man! She is going to be sorely missed.  RIH sweetie.

A few photos and the one of the kids and you in the yard during Thanksgiving speaks volumes of who you was. You had been fighting cancer at the time and even after cooking a great Thanksgiving meal you got out in the Yard with the Kids and played Football with them. 

Thank You for being such a loving Gran to Brooklyn and Caden. Brooklyn especially was really close to you and loved helping you cook and in her eyes no one will ever be able to cook as great as her Gran could and I agree with her, there was nothing you made that didn’t turn out delicious. She will carry those memories of you two in the kitchen cooking and baking and because of that she loves to cook and bake at home and trying new recipes. She looked forward to Those evenings you two would catch up on all of your shows and just spending time with you. She will make sure Caden remembers what a loving a fun grandmother you was. You will be Greatly missed. Jared and I will make sure we continue to jointly raise Brooklyn and Caden to be great adults that you no doubt would be proud of. Thank You for welcoming Gabby and Me in your home all those years and for all you did for us. Rest In Peace! ♥️
